  • Department: LDRP / Level I Nursery and OB unit - Float to Medsurg/Peds
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • # of L&D Beds: 4
  • # of OR Suites for C-Sections: C-sections are done in the OR
  • # of Triage beds: 1
  • # of Postpartum beds: 4
  • # of Births per year: 250
  • Common diagnoses: Preeclampsia, cholestasis of pregnancy, repeat Cesarean sections, stabilize baby for transport
  • Experience required: Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and some newborn stabilization experience
  • RNs required to titrate drips: Yes
  • Common titratable drips: Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, amp and gent for babies
  • Anesthesia on call and within a few blocks of the hospital
  • Shifts: 0645-1915, 1845-0715
  • Self-scheduling available
  • Weekend and holiday requirements: Fill in as needed
  • Floating requirements: Float to medsurg/peds and occasionally to ER if comfortable
  • Dress code: Navy
  • Unit orientation: 1 week
  • Team-oriented environment with good communication skills

    • NRP certification required
    • Preferred certifications: ACLS, STABLE, TNCC
    • Must have Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and some newborn stabilization experience
      • Schedule Information
      • 0645-1915 and 1845-0715 shifts
      • Self-scheduling allowed
      • Weekend and holiday work as needed
      • Floating to medsurg/peds and occasionally to ER if comfortable
        • Unit Specific Information

          • Radius Rule: 50 miles
          • No clinical involvement
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
          • Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions
