Facility: Southwest Clinic Location: Fargo, ND Address: th Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103, USA Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts Job Schedule: Flex Weekly Hours: 24.00 Salary Range: $28.50 - $44.00 Department Details We are looking for a highly motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our team where independent work is key to success. As a member of our specialized team, you will provide expert respiratory care to pediatric patients diagnosed with asthma. Pediatric Respiratory Care experience is essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for visiting pediatric patients and their families at one of our four designated pediatric clinics, offering individualized education in a comfortable, supportive environment. Additionally, you will follow up with patients who do not meet optimal scores on the Asthma Control Test (ACT), ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and care. Approximately 25% of the role will involve case management for children with specialized needs, including responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing medication guidance either via phone or during in-clinic appointments. Enjoy a preferred work schedule Monday to Friday hours between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., providing a great work-life balance. This position is typically 24 hours per week but could fall between 16 to 32 hours per week, depending on department needs. Qualifications A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. Demonstrates the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care. Must complete orientations, competency validations, and other in-servicing as required by the department and hospital. Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials as attained through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
