Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Med/Surg RN in Grand Forks, North Dakota, 58201 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Med-Surg Adult
Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 36-hour rotating A/P shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of
experience License: Must hold an unencumbered nursing license or
temporary RN license accepted prior to start. Certifications: -
Registered Nurse (as per state or compact state agreement) required
prior to start date - Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American
Heart Association within 90 days of start date Must-Have: - Ability
to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established
policies, procedures, and protocols - Competence in facilitating
the coordination of patient care within the interdisciplinary team
- Skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of
patients served on the assigned unit Job Description: - Perform
daily rounds on all patients, ensuring quality customer service by
addressing any unmet requirements. - Develop a comprehensive plan
of care based on assessment, reflecting the patient's physical,
psychological, social, educational, developmental, and
rehabilitative needs. - Evaluate the patient's condition and needs,
set goals, and implement appropriate nursing actions, including
discharge planning. - Effectively manage pain symptoms reported by
patients and take appropriate actions as per standard procedures. -
Identify early warning signs of patient condition changes and
respond appropriately, including involving other clinicians as
necessary. - Assist with or implement emergency measures for sudden
adverse developments in patient conditions. - Report pertinent
observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate
team member and document accurately and concisely. - Ensure timely
intervention or referrals are made for any identified needs. -
Complete and submit all incident reports (patient, visitor, staff)
promptly. - Maintain communication and utilize educational
opportunities with patients and significant others. - Initiate
discharge planning, provide education, and counsel patients and
families to enhance understanding and compliance. - Evaluate and
document care according to standard procedures. - Assign or
delegate nursing interventions to others within the scope of their
practice, ensuring they have the necessary skills and competence. -
Perform other duties as necessary to meet departmental or
organizational needs. This position requires strong communication
skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work
collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. The ideal
